The work I create is a byproduct of the observations that I make of my world and the socio-political arena that the work is produced in. By juxtaposing materials, memories, and images from a variety of sources, I hope to create a new way of seeing in the form of the ‘object'. Many of the objects I create are part autobiographical, part social commentary and part ritual imagery. They are a mixture of the ironic, the absurd, the humorous, and the iconic. My work resides in a place somewhere between the discourse and the story of these changes. Whether images of war, of anatomy, of toys, or byproducts of human production, my work does not attempt to tell the viewer what to see, think, or feel, but instead, provides a space for discourse and a starting place for discussion.
